The Bainbridge Bearcats were the 50-47 winner over the Seminole County Indians when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The match between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Bainbridge falling 51-37. They found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post 11 fewer assists than your opponent.
Several Bearcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyra Green, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds. DaNydia Campbell was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.
Seminole County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zyi'kiera King out in front who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Equeasha Daniels, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Bainbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Seminole County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
Bainbridge will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hardaway at 5:00 p.m. Hardaway has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 539 points over their last eight games. As for Seminole County, they will head out on the road to square off against Stewart County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
