Rampart has struggled against Cherokee Trail recently, as their match on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Melecio, who scored 17 points. The matchup was Melecio's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Myles Chavarria was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
It was another big night for Braylen Thomas, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds for Cherokee Trail. The contest was Thomas' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Naode Ghide, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Rampart bumped their record down to 5-4 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cherokee Trail, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
