The Kingsley Stags entered their tilt with the Manistee Chippewas with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Kingsley took down Manistee 37-18 on Friday.
Several Chippewas players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nick Hornkohl, who rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. Kaden Kott was another key contributor, picking up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Kingsley's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Manistee, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Kingsley's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Gladstone at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (Gladstone is ranked 87th, while Kingsley is ranked 65th). Manistee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
