Valley Center is 0-9 against Mt. Carmel since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Valley Center Jaguars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mt. Carmel Sundevils at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Valley Center focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Wednesday.
Valley Center pushed their score all the way to 55, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 65-55 to San Pasqual. Valley Center has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Carson Yoder put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 25 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Garcia, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Mt. Carmel beat Fallbrook 53-43 on Wednesday.
Valley Center's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Mt. Carmel, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season.
Valley Center ended up a good deal behind Mt. Carmel in their previous matchup back in January, losing 71-52. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Mt.
