Hillhouse simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Platt RVT 49-7 at home. The victory was nothing new for the Academics as they're now sitting on four straight dating back to last season.
Amir Daniley had a dynamite game for Hillhouse, rushing for 94 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries. Daniley got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 50 yards. Cordell Barrow also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Meanwhile, Stratford was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 21-20 to Northwest United co-op [Wolcott RVT/Lakeview/Shepaug Valley/Nonnewaug].
Hillhouse came up short against Stratford in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, falling 27-18. Thankfully for Hillhouse, Tristen Pe?a (who rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 51 receiving yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
