Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Stepputtis, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. John Napiello was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with three steals.
Seymour's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joey Carrafiello, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaquan Ellis, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Woodland Regional has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Seymour, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
Woodland Regional will look to defend their home court on Friday against Holy Cross. Holy Cross knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Woodland Regional likes a good challenge. As for Seymour, they will head out on the road to face off against Torrington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Torrington is ranked 68th, while Seymour is ranked 83rd).
