On Friday, the Hurricane Redskins faced the Huntington Highlanders in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Hurricane's rough 28-6 defeat to Huntington might stick with them for a while. Hurricane has struggled against Huntington recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Noah Vellaithambi and Jacqai Long certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Vellaithambi rushed for 206 yards, while Long rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown.
Hurricane's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Huntington, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
