In what's become a running theme this season, the Cross Trojans gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 66-35 victory over Palmetto Scholars Academy at home. Winning may never get old, but Cross sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Cross found their leader in underclassman Caden Ramsey, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Ramsey is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Jamez Way was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Cross is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Palmetto Scholars Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cross won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. John's at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th. St. John's and Cross are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. Palmetto Scholars Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lowcountry Leadership at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Lowcountry Leadership is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
