Palm Bay is 0-10 against Rockledge since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Palm Bay Pirates will look to defend their home court against the Rockledge Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Palm Bay sitting on three straight wins and Rockledge on five.
Last Friday, Palm Bay strolled past Viera with points to spare, taking the game 62-46.
Palm Bay's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zeke Aime led the charge by scoring 17 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Willie Burnett III, who scored 16 points along with five assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, Rockledge can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Astronaut 81-42 at home. Given Rockledge's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Astronaut is ranked 180th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Palm Bay's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Rockledge, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5.
Palm Bay came up short against Rockledge in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 41-33. Can Palm Bay avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
