Conestoga Valley moved up to 403 from 453 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Lancaster-Lebanon 2. The Buckskins climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Solanco 24-0.
Cocalico extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Lebanon, 49-12. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Eagles.
Manheim Central's dynamic duo of Colin Fry and Taylor Geib proved tough for Lampeter-Strasburg to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fry threw for 184 yards and four touchdowns and Geib had 75 yards receiving. Andrew Seiverling helped Manheim Central's passing attack out by catching three balls for 52 yards.
Anthony Brown was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 168 yards on 20 carries as Conestoga Valley beat the Pioneers. Teammate Justus Norman added to the ground attack by rushing for 14 yards.
Manheim Central's Fry and Geib have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Lancaster-Lebanon 2 in both passing and receiving yards. Fry has thrown for 1311 yards this season, while Geib, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 31 catches for 575 yards. Brown from Tom Nichols' team leads the league in rushing with 879 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Cocalico takes on Lampeter-Strasburg. As it stands, Dave Gingrich's team is in first, while John Manion's team is in third.
The Eagles led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on the Cedars.
