Even though the West Stokes Wildcats scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, the Morehead Panthers still came out on top. Morehead took their game against West Stokes 63-56. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Morehead.
Morehead had a senior duo take command as Makel Smith scored 25 points and Seth Sharpe scored 19 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least 25% of Morehead's points.
Morehead is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for West Stokes, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
Morehead will head out on the road to face off against McMichael at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McMichael is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for West Stokes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against T.W. Andrews at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
