The Newcastle Dogies will be home for the holidays to greet the Wright Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Newcastle is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Saturday, Newcastle suffered a rough 63-43 defeat at the hands of Belle Fourche. Newcastle has struggled against Belle Fourche recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Wright has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 23 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 61-38 margin over Greybull. The victory was nothing new for Wright as they're now sitting on four straight.
Newcastle's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Wright, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Newcastle was dealt a bruising 64-21 loss at the hands of Wright in their previous meeting back in January. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Newcastle was down 44-11.
