West Valley has gone 8-2 against Yreka recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles will square off against the Miners at 4:30 p.m. West Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

West Valley is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 23 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against University Prep on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Addy Taylor was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Kylee Jaramillo was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple.

Meanwhile, Yreka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 21-11 to Lassen.

Meghan Charlesworth made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Hadley Shaw, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Yreka's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for West Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.

Yreka's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: West Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .377. It's a different story for Yreka, though, as they've only averaged .249. Will they be able to contain West Valley's hitters?

West Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Yreka in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Miners turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
