Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Burlington-Edison). They put the hurt on the Lakewood Cougars with a sharp 21-1 win on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Zak Fleshman was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Cash Cullop and Asher Moe did most of the damage at the plate: Cullop went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Moe got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
