With a playoff win on the line, Faith Christian rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Rossville Hornets. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Taylor Hill paced Faith Christian's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hill got some help from Kelsey Olehy and her 20 assists. Olivia Barber controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Despite the defeat, Rossville saw an underclassman step up: freshman Cassie Schoon had 28 digs and two assists. With that strong performance, Schoon is now averaging an impressive 10.3 digs per game.
Faith Christian's win bumped their record up to 32-4. As for Rossville, they moved to 31-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.
