On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kane Decker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, seven RBI, and two stolen bases. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. At the plate, Santino Spidalieri was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He has become a key player for Royal Palm Beach: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Roman O'Keefe, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Royal Palm Beach was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Atlantic only posted a batting average of .125.
Seminole Ridge's record now sits at 8-6. As for Royal Palm Beach, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Everything went Seminole Ridge's way against Royal Palm Beach in their previous meeting back in February, as Seminole Ridge made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seminole Ridge since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
