The Fairmont Senior Polar Bears lost against the East Fairmont Bees back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Fairmont Senior had to suffer through a rough 111-26 loss at the hands of East Fairmont. Fairmont Senior was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 63-4.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Fairmont to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kenly Rogers, who went 6 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and 6 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rogers has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailee Haymond, who scored 25 points along with three steals.
Fairmont Senior's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for East Fairmont, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.
Fairmont Senior will be playing at home against North Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairmont Senior will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps West Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 99th, while North Marion is ranked 25th). East Fairmont's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cabell Midland at 11:00 a.m. on February 6th. Averaging 76.35 points so far this season, East Fairmont's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Cabell Midland better be ready for a challenge.
