The Unity Christian Academy Phoenix won the last time they faced Portage Christian, and things went their way on Monday too. Unity Christian Academy blew past Portage Christian 65-29 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-16.
Unity Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aidan Robinson led the charge by scoring 16 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Robinson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Donovan O'Neil, who scored 16 points along with six steals.
Unity Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-6 record this season. As for Portage Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Unity Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Grant Park at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Portage Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Westville at 7:00 p.m. on December 29th. Hopefully Westville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Saturday.
