The Westside Rams will head out on the road to take on the Greenville Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Westside sitting on three straight wins and the Red Raiders on seven.
You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Westside's strategy against the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Westside blew the Bulldogs out of the water with a 89-40 final score. Westside pushed the score to 65-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs had no chance of recovering from.
Westside relied on the efforts of Joshua Williams, who scored 21 points along with two steals, and Zeke Marshall, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Marshall has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Christopher Earle-nelson, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Greenville stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Easley as Greenville made off with a 71-46 win.
Westside is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Greenville, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3.
Westside might still be hurting after the 74-53 loss they got from the Red Raiders in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can Westside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
