LAMPASAS, Texas -
Lorena (Texas) had a comfortable lead entering the fourth quarter, but used nine fourth quarter points to seal the 35-6 victory over
Lampasas (Texas).
After taking the lead on a
Harris Coleman touchdown run in the second quarter, the Leopards were up 12-6 at the half.
Lorena grew its lead to 20 points entering the fourth quarter. The Leopards scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Duggan Burch.
Lampasas' only touchdown came on a 46-yard run by
Gary Spencer in the second quarter.
The victory avenged Lorena's close 17-14 loss to the Badgers last season.
The win brought Lorena's winning streak to three games.
In a non-conference game next week Lampasas (1-2) takes on Fredericksburg, and Lorena (3-0) will go up against Grandview also in a non-conference game.
