The Perrysburg Yellow Jackets will head out to challenge the Elmwood Royals at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Perrysburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Perrysburg needed a bit of extra time to put away Bryan. They skirted past the Golden Bears 9-8. The victory continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Golden Bears: they've now won five in a row.

Brayden Heitmeyer
| 05/19/25 @ Bryan | 4 |
| 05/09/25 @ Napoleon | 3 |
| 04/13/24 vs Archbold | 3 |
| 04/10/24 @ Whitmer | 3 |
| 05/17/25 vs Lakota West | 2 |
Brayden Heitmeyer was incredible, getting on base in all six of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (four). Braxton Mefferd was another key player, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Elmwood entered their tilt with Genoa Area on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Comets by a score of 9-5.
Gabe Schafer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.
On the hitting side, Landon Snow and Marshal Taft did most of the damage at the plate: Snow went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI, while Taft went 3-for-4 with four RBI. Another player making a difference was Nico Allen, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Perrysburg's record is now 15-7. As for Elmwood, their record now sits at 18-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Perrysburg has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Elmwood struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Perrysburg beat Elmwood 5-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellow Jackets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
