Maine South came tearing into Saturday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lake Forest Scouts. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Simon Zwierczyk paced Maine South's offense, picking up ten kills. Zwierczyk got some help from Gabriel Redzic and his 22 assists. Caden Kalinowski controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Maine South's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Lake Forest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Maine South has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Hersey on the 3rd. As for Lake Forest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Fenton on the 3rd.
