Michael Amsel, jr and Erick Oscarson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Tonasket. The connection went for 52 yards, the longest such play in 1A Caribou Trail this season.
Cashmere was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Quincy. The Bulldogs came in at 22 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Chelan's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Amsel, jr threw for 176 and four touchdowns and Oscarson had 73 yards receiving. On the ground Kai Clausen chipped in 56 yards. Clausen helped Chelan's passing attack out by catching two balls for 46 yards.
The Mountain Goats' Luke Gleasman and Oscarson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gleasman has thrown for 475 yards this season, while Oscarson, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 16 catches for 337 yards. The Jackrabbits' Antonio Melendez leads the league in rushing yards with 609.
Cashmere extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Quincy, 26-0. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
