After two games on the road, McDonald County is heading back home. They will take on the Cassville Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in McDonald County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests.
McDonald County can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They put the hurt on Adrian with a sharp 62-40 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory McDonald County has posted since November 30, 2023.
McDonald County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Roslynn Huston out in front who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Carlee Cooper was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven assists and two steals.
Cassville suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 55-35 walloping at the hands of Marionville. While losing is never fun, Cassville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while Marionville is ranked 169th).
McDonald County pushed their record up to 13-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Cassville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
