Basketball Recap: Graham's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Graham needed a changed in momentum after dropping six straight games and they got it from Micah Woods. The Graham Red Devils came out on top against the North Moore Mustangs by a score of 79-70 on Tuesday thanks in part to Woods, who went 11 for 15 from beyond the arc on his way to 54 points and seven steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Graham's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ladario Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Johnson is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season.

North Moore lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brady Preslar, who went 11 of 22 on his way to 27 points and four steals. That's the most steals Preslar has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Pennington, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds.

Graham's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-7. As for North Moore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Southeast Alamance the next time they take the court. North Moore will head out to face Southeast Alamance at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Graham will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
