After soaring high against Tenino last week, Icarus fell to the ground on Friday. King's Way Christian were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 14-20 to Bellevue Christian.
No one put up better numbers for Bellevue Christian than senior Mick Larsen, who brought his A game into the match. He threw 2 TDs and picked up 43 yards on the ground. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior John Kim, who racked up 9 tackles.
The loss dropped King's Way Christian's record to 1-2. The victory bumped Bellevue Christian's record up to 1-2.
Next week King's Way Christian take on Riverside at 7:00 PM. Bellevue Christian will look to defend their home turf against Vashon Island at 6:00 PM.
