Basketball Recap: Mcdowell Piles Up the Points Against T.C. Roberson

McDowell waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They really took it to the T.C. Roberson Rams for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-39 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Titans had established a 24 point advantage.

McDowell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Reece Galbreath out in front who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Derrick Forney Jr, who scored 14 points.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was LaRon Mills, who put up ten points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dean Lowe, who had five points and 12 rebounds.

McDowell pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.2 points. As for T.C. Roberson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McDowell and Franklin will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. T.C. Roberson will take on Brevard in a holiday battle at at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
