The Serrano Diamondbacks's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 76-57 win over San Bernardino. The victory was just what Serrano needed coming off of a 78-28 defeat in their prior contest.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mason Vilhauer, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Vilhauer has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Romon Esqueda, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds.
The win got Serrano back to even at 12-12. As for San Bernardino, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Serrano and Apple Valley will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Apple Valley is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for San Bernardino, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jurupa Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Jurupa Valley is ranked 1074th, while San Bernardino is ranked 1082nd).
