Valley Oaks CES came out on top against Bert Corona Charter on Thursday thanks in part to Chris Olvera's efforts. Olvera made a splash, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs. It looks like he has Bert Corona Charter's number considering he had a big game the last time he faced them back in March. Olvera is becoming a predictor of Valley Oaks CES' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-4 when he doesn't).

Coming up, Olvera and Valley Oaks CES will challenge Community Charter at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats have some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since March of 2016, but a win here would be a good start.
