The Fairfield Indians can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 54-19 win over Colerain. The team accrued 47 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Fairfield had a senior duo take command as Myka Richardson scored ten points and Kimberlin Samples scored ten points along with two steals. Samples continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lexi Hayes, who scored four points along with five assists and three steals.
Fairfield's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Colerain, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-18.
Fairfield will face off against Middletown at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Fairfield has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Colerain, they will be playing at home against Oak Hills at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Colerain will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 516th, while Oak Hills is ranked 165th).
