There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. We'll tackle that and more in this week's report.
Welcome
Waterford repeated its 42-point performance from the game before for another record-booster in its most recent game. It picked up a decisive 'W' against Elkhorn, finishing up at 42 - 7. At 35 points, that marked Waterford's largest margin of victory so far this year. Thanks to its success, Waterford cracked into the power rankings and now occupies the 18th spot.
Can't Stop Won't Stop
It was another game, another high-octane performance for Edgar last week (their 6th in a row). Everything went its way against Laconia as it secured a 48 - 0 win. The Laconia defense has struggled this season (giving up an average of 35 points per game), and Edgar took advantage of that. With seven consecutive wins, Edgar boasts the longest winning streak of any team in the rankings.
A
It was a battle of top-notch squads when Marquette University (7th in the MaxPreps state rankings) took on Brookfield Central (26th) last week. Marquette University got a somewhat close 28 - 22 victory over Brookfield Central. The win raised Marquette University up one spot in the power rankings.
No Stoppin 'Em
There were a lot of high-scoring contests in the power rankings last week, but the 76-point effort in this one put it right at the top of the list. Homestead blew past Nicolet 50 - 26. Despite Homestead's win, the team was passed up by other teams in the power rankings and gave up two spots in the rankings.
