Basketball Recap: Moss Point Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Moss Point had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They took down Bay 35-21. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Moss Point also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2025.

Moss Point's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trinity Magee, who posted 16 points and six rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Magee has scored at least a third of Moss Point's points. Kirsten Bailey was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Moss Point's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Bay, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10.

Moss Point has already played their next game, a 29-27 victory against Pass Christian on the 6th. As for Bay, they will challenge Greene County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
