The Leading Edge Academy - GEC Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season. They blew past San Carlos, posting a 78-40 victory at home. The win was just what Leading Edge Academy - GEC needed coming off of a 93-60 loss in their prior match.
Leading Edge Academy - GEC got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mateo Bynum out in front who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Francisco, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Leading Edge Academy - GEC is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for San Carlos, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7.
Leading Edge Academy - GEC will head out on the road to face off against NFL Yet Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. NFL Yet Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 295th, while Leading Edge Academy - GEC is ranked 103rd). As for San Carlos, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gilbert Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
