The Norris Titans will venture away from home to square off against the Lincoln Northwest Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Norris is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 74.2 points per game this season.
Norris is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nebraska's top teams: Elkhorn North, who was ranked tenth at the time (Norris was ranked second). Norris took down Elkhorn North 78-63 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with Elkhorn North: they've now won eight in a row.
Chris Garner Jr. was his usual excellent self, going 9-for-15 en route to 21 points and three blocks. What's more, he also posted four assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Barret Boesiger, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 15 points.
Meanwhile, Lincoln Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 76-51 to Crete.
Norris will need to focus on slowing down Myles Parker, one of several Lincoln Northwest players who made an impact when they last played. He put up 14 points. Tayden Wynn was another key player, going 6-for-14 on his way to 14 points and six boards.
Norris pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.1 points over those games. As for Lincoln Northwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's game: Norris has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 41.4% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Lincoln Northwest, though, as they've only made 28.3% of their three-pointers this season. Given Norris' sizable advantage in that area, Lincoln Northwest will need to find a way to close that gap.
Everything came up roses for Norris against Lincoln Northwest in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 70-28 victory. In that matchup, Norris amassed a halftime lead of 36-13, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
