The Oakville Acorns will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Washington School for the Deaf Terriers at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Oakville managed to keep up with the Chitwhins until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Oakville suffered a rough 59-36 loss at the hands of the Chitwhins.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ui Siufanua, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Forsythe, who scored eight points along with 18 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Washington School for the Deaf was beaten by the Acorns 50-21 on Thursday. Washington School for the Deaf has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Oakville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Washington School for the Deaf, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.
