Softball Recap: Slaton Snags 11th Win in Last 14 Games

Slaton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Shallowater, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tigers put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 18-4 victory on Monday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

Slaton got a massive performance out of Burkelynn Lamberson, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two triples gave Lamberson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anelise Luera, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Slaton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .744. They are 10-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Slaton is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.
