Basketball Recap: Isle of Wight Academy Takes a Loss

Isle of Wight Academy lost against Summit Christian Academy on January 13th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Isle of Wight Academy Chargers came up short against the Summit Christian Academy Eagles, falling 62-38.

Summit Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Courtland Reiter, who went 7 of 15 en route to 17 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Miller, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds.

Isle of Wight Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Summit Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season.

Isle of Wight Academy will welcome Rock Church at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rock Church knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 contests -- so hopefully Isle of Wight Academy likes a good challenge. Summit Christian Academy has already played their next matchup (against Oaktree Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
