After a string of four wins, the Chapman Panthers's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. The  match between Chapman and Walhalla wasn't particularly close, with Chapman falling  49-32. Chapman has not had much luck with Walhalla recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
 Despite the  defeat, Chapman had strong showings from  Krislyn Wilder, who  scored 16 points along with seven  rebounds, and  Elliot Miller, who  scored eight points along with five  rebounds. The  match was  Wilder's sixth in a row with at least ten points.
  Gianna Ortiz-Viera was  her usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on ten points and 15  rebounds for Walhalla. Ortiz-Viera hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kami Roach, who  scored eight points.
 Chapman's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Walhalla,  the  win  makes it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 8-4.
 Chapman will head out on the road to face off against Belton-Honea Path at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Walhalla will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Worthington Kilbourne at 12:45  p.m.  on December 29th.
