The Moss Point Tigers suffered their biggest loss since November 17, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 71-37 loss at the hands of Pass Christian. If Moss Point hoped to take revenge for the 56-41 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Moss Point lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Quey'sean Taylor, who scored five points along with five rebounds and two steals. Alejandro Montalvo was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Moss Point's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-11. As for Pass Christian, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-7.
Moss Point will head out on the road to face off against Poplarville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Poplarville comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Pass Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bay at 7:30 p.m. Bay will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Pass Christian is ranked 61st).
