The Everglades Prep Academy Panther were the 64-63 winner over the Palmer Trinity Falcons when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Everglades Prep Academy was the victim of a tough 68-42 defeat at the hands of Palmer Trinity on Thursday.
Leading Palmer Trinity to victory were Colin Carletta and Graham Yanowitch. Carletta scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Yanowitch dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Yanowitch has scored at least 25% of Palmer Trinity's points. Harrison Miles was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five assists and three steals.
Everglades Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Palmer Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Everglades Prep Academy will take on Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Palmer Trinity, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Archbishop Carroll at 5:00 p.m. on January 5th. Archbishop Carroll is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
