The Don Bosco Prep Ironmen will head out on the road to square off against the Ramapo Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Don Bosco Prep's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
Even though Paramus Catholic scored an imposing 67 points on Monday, Don Bosco Prep still came out on top. Don Bosco Prep enjoyed a cozy 82-67 win over Paramus Catholic. Given Don Bosco Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while Paramus Catholic is ranked 228th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Ramapo didn't have too much trouble with St. Mary at home on Sunday as they won 57-43.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ramapo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Goldman, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Goldman scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Peyton Seals, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Don Bosco Prep is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Ramapo, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Don Bosco Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Ramapo in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, winning 65-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Don Bosco Prep since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
