After both having extra time off, the Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes and the Highland Prep Honey Badgers will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Arizona Lutheran Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Glendale Prep Academy last Tuesday as Arizona Lutheran Academy made off with a 12-4 victory. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Griffins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Jenna Danzeisen made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (one). She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, Kaylee Pufahl was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Ella Peltzer was another key player, scoring two runs while going 4-for-5.
Arizona Lutheran Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glendale Prep Academy only posted an OBP of .211.
Meanwhile, Highland Prep waltzed into their match two weeks ago with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Spartans as they made off with an 18-10 victory. The Honey Badgers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven runs or more this season.
Sydney Mikkelson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Haley Miller, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Aneyka Angulo, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Highland Prep's record is now 3-1. As for Arizona Lutheran Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
