The St. John Woodchucks entered their tilt with the North Prairie co-op [Rolla/Rolette] Cougars with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. St. John came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 67-54 on Friday. St. John pushed the score to 60-40 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cougars cut but never quite recovered from.
St. John's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alani Morin, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Morin is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kaycee Desjarlais was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.
St. John's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for North Prairie co-op [Rolla/Rolette], their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
