Springboro has gone a perfect 10-0 against Wayne recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panthers will host the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Springboro took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Miami East 13-12. Springboro's win was all the more impressive since the Vikings were averaging only 4.08 runs allowed on the season.

Kylene Seibel was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Aubrey Coffey was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Springboro kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 12-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Wayne entered their tilt with Northmont on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged out the Thunderbolts 7-5.
Cheyenne Townsend was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Townsend was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ivy Barbour, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.
Springboro's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 11-15.
Wayne's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Springboro has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.3 hits per game. It's a different story for Wayne, though, as they've been averaging 10.2 hits. Given Springboro's sizable advantage in that area, the Warriors will need to find a way to close that gap.
Springboro got the 'W' when the teams last played two weeks ago against Wayne by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
