Meanwhile, Kolton pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Schwartz went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Kolton got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Those four RBI gave Schwartz a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Gorham, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Lehmann, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
