The Booker Tornadoes extended their postseason success on Friday against the Lemon Bay Manta Rays. They didn't even let the Manta Rays onto the board and left with a 14-0 win. Winning may never get old, but Booker sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Leading Booker to victory were Josiah Booker and Ahmad ?tooda? hunter. Booker gained 76 total yards and a touchdown, while ?tooda? hunter rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Booker's defense and their five sacks. Kevontay Hugan was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up 2.5 sacks himself.
Booker has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Lemon Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.
Booker will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Verot at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Verot knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Booker likes a good challenge.
