Oceanside has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Leavitt Hornets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Oceanside has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 456 points over their last ten games.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oceanside had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top against Medomak Valley by a score of 34-22.
Cohen Galley was his usual excellent self, rushing for 83 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 209 yards and a touchdown while completing 76.9% of his passes. Galley has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Zeb Foster also helped out with an impressive 92 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Leavitt came tearing into Saturday's game with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 36-32 win over Fryeburg. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Oceanside pushed their record up to 10-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Leavitt, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
