The West Florence Knights's 11-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Wednesday. They walked away with a 51-43 victory over Lakewood. West Florence's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
West Florence's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendrina Johnson, who scored seven points along with 16 rebounds and four steals. Johnson also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylin Davis, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
West Florence's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-7. As for Lakewood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
West Florence and Keenan will round out the year against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Lakewood will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Camden at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Camden has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 633 points over their last eight games.
