This season hasn't been kind to the St. John Paul II Lions, who are still winless after their sixth contest. They fell 75-62 to Neighborhood House Charter on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Neighborhood House Charter was led to victory by Juelz Jackson and Tavon Rhodes. Jackson scored 27 points along with two steals, while Rhodes dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gionni Centeio, who scored five points along with five assists and three steals.
St. John Paul II's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Neighborhood House Charter, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John Paul II will face off against Sturgis West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Neighborhood House Charter, they will head out on the road to take on Roxbury Prep Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
