Eastern took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Federal Hocking as they made off with a 19-6 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won nine in a row.

Ashlynn Thomas 2027 was a standout: she fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aedre Ault 2028, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.
Eastern hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 7-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Marietta and Warren had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Tigers took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Samantha Mayo stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she got on base in three of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Chloe Harris was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Marietta now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Eastern, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Eastern has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .480. However, it's not like Marietta struggles in that department as they've averaged .454. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
